Most of you should be familiar with BIOMETRICS, currently undergoing a module on this course, though i must say its very challenging,as you have to force computer systems to understand certain characters or traits to enable the absolute of conditional differentiation of individuals whether
1. biologically in the respect to [anatomical and physiological] or,
2. Behavioural characteristics
These features could be turned into processes to enable automation of various sort and thus the birth of the finger print scanners, your Android face detection fun, or the newly facetracking all related to Biometrics as a son of Computer vision.
The Demand for Security is at it's rare peak and its only going to climb up meaning that their are challenges and new technologies will break foot, if you are a sci-fi movie fan then you surely would have seen most of these like Iris scan, Voice recognition, Sound pattern.

Examining the Tongue for Biometrics |
Well today i do not intend talking about Biometrics tech in details but to show you something fun. Another Issue that affect us when it comes to biometrics and scurity is when we want to take some certification exams especially those in a well controlled settings e.g. PearsonVUE, the require biometrics not to talk about one of the exams people take lots more,

one of the many variations of the Vein Scanner |
thats the GMat Exam what makes this one even interesting is its use of Vein scan
Presently one of my research topic in Biometrics indulges us to learn
about Ear recognition however most countries are already into or are
going into rigorous Identity management systems that will require
certain combinations of Biometrics like [Finger print, face recog, iris]
to be taking, now who is to say that in a few years from now you will
be even asked to take a biometrics of the skin, biometrics of the eye,
of the head (how big it is, or the total circumference, the thickness of
the teeth, the Tongue's texture and pattern, or even the buttocks. Some
people in the industry will be happy but the privacy intrusion and
convinience will certainly be an issue
